Hello, I am Luba and it is very nice to meet you. I was born and raised in Russia. Immigrated to New York in 1997. Ever since I can remember I never wanted to do anything but be a hairstylist and makeup artist. My aunt is a hairstylist and I spent hours while growing up watching her do hair in her little salon. I have always loved hair and had a passion for a makeup! I always felt a pull to touch, fix or fiddle with it at any opportunity. I want to give hair vibrancy, texture, and style. I want to add soft or pixie layers, add dimensional colors. Always want to give more definition to the eyes and eyebrows.

Attending vocational high school I started studying the craft of hair styling and coloring as a freshman in high school. Working as a hairstylist cutting and coloring at age 16 before even graduating in 1993. In 2006 I was certified as a colorist of many different color brands as well as was certified as a makeup artist by Nina MUA in 2015. In 2008 was sertified as a master Lasio and Brazilian Blowout keratin Smoothing Treatments.  I became a self-employed independent stylist/colorist in 2009 at Salon De Larue (located in Park Slope). I'm obsessed with learning all the new techniques. Constantly working to stay up to date on trends, taking classes online and hands on. I am dedicated to making men and women feel their best in quaint comfortable space.

I’m a mother of two handsome boys Gabriel and Joseph and one sweet little girl Aviva. I am also a wife to my lovely husband Robert. In my free time, you will catch me spending time with my husband and my kids. I love to be in the woods hiking and spend as much time outside as possible. A few of my favorite things: a good snowstorm, a beautiful tropical beach vanilla ice cream, Instagram and hot green tea with dessert!

I approach each client with enthusiasm, giving thorough professional consultations to anyone who sits in my chair. I’m a great listener, and 100% passionate about hair and makeup. I believe everybody should love their hair and be capable of styling it with the right instruction, tools, and products. Do you struggle with your hair?
